WHAT IS YOUR SHIPPING POLICY?
All products ship from Calgary, AB, Canada. You can expect to have your product in hand within 5-8 business days (CAN and US) or 10-14 business days (International). Shipping is calculated at checkout.
WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want, is to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and ensure the item you want will be set aside for you, then return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
What happens if I select local pick-up?
Well, local pick-up applies to anyone willing to come to us in Calgary and pick-up your purchases, free of charge. Local pick-up is available in Calgary at Ninth and Brick in Inglewood (1312B 9 Ave SE, Calgary, AB). You can pick up your purchases free of charge. Simply select Local Pickup as your delivery option at check-out and we’ll send you an email when it’s ready for pick-up.
All current healthcare guidelines are adhered to for pick-ups.
Local pick-up is currently only available at Ninth and Brick. Please check their hours as they vary.
How do I see your blankets in person?

How does your one-for-one blanket donation work?
When you buy a blanket, we send you your cozy new blanket, and we also allocate one to our donation program. We work directly with multiple foundations around Canada such as children’s crisis centers, shelters, women’s facilities, Indigenous crisis groups, LGBTQ+ crisis groups, and others.
We personally deliver baby, single and double blankets to these organizations depending on their need, usually 25-50 at a time. Blankets can be used as a fundraiser, but are more often given to people using the services of these amazing organizations. To see where we donate and to learn more, click here.
For each sale of a bag, a portion of proceeds goes to raise awareness for youth hunger in our communities and create sustainable systems for child nutrition.
When you buy from Heartprint Pets, a portion of your purchase is donated to AARCS.
How does my organization get donation blankets?
Contact us here to nominate an organization and we’ll be sure to get in touch! Whether it’s for a one time event or more consistent donations, please reach out.
What are your products made of?
Our original blanket lines are made from 100% high grade post-consumer recycled acrylic. It’s been brushed to give it that extra cozy feel.
Our Lana Line is made from 90% wool and 10% cotton. It’s brushed on one side, and left tight on the other for a finished look.
Our Weekend Traveller Bags are made from top grain, high quality leather straps and a traditionally patterned exterior made with a high quality blend of cotton and synthetic fibre.
Our Forever Bags are made from high quality, top grain leather and durable, soft nylon.
How do I wash my new blanket?
- Acrylic blankets: Wash on cold, gentle cycle. Air dry.
- Wool blankets, cloth bags, leather items: Spot wash with mild soap. Air dry.
Are you fair trade certified?
We work very hard to make sure our artisans are acknowledged and paid fairly, that we are as sustainable as possible and that our products are fair trade. However, we are not yet fair trade certified. It is a title we are passionate about and we continue to work towards it. We are also working towards our B-Corp certification. We actively run our business to these standards, and we’re excited to have the stamp of approval soon.
Do you design any items yourself?
We love to leave a lot of the creativity up the artisans, but we do also collaborate on many items. We hand pick many of the colors used in the blankets and our latest blanket style, Tree Line, was designed by the Heartprint Threads team. Our new Forever Bags are crafted by Miguel, and were designed by Heartprint Threads. We are thankful to be able to work together to create amazing products!
Where do you get your blankets?
Our products come from Ecuador. We work with five families and we head down to Ecuador yearly, working closely with the artisans to provide the best product possible and to ensure proper working conditions for the artisans and makers we work with. Learn more about the artisans we work with here.
